
9月27日,2023第二届新投资博览会暨第十七届沙利文全球增长、科创与领导力峰会(简称“沙利文新投资大会”或“大会”)在上海浦东香格里拉大酒店盛大开幕。沙利文全球董事局主席富大为先生(David Frigstad)通过视频为大会致辞。

In this special 25th year anniversary of Frost & Sullivan China, I'd like to cover three quick things that I think are very important.
在弗若斯特沙利文中国公司成立25周年之际,我想简要介绍三件我认为非常重要的事情。
First, gratitude for the clients, partners and team at Frost & Sullivan.
首先,感谢弗若斯特沙利文的客户、合伙人和团队。
Secondly, a reflection on the history of what it took to get us where we are today.
第二,回顾历史,看看是什么让我们走到今天。
And third, a look forward into the future of what it's going to take, working together to be those companies and leaders that actually transform the global economy, making the world a better place.
第三,展望未来,与那些真正改变全球经济的公司和领导者共同努力,让世界变得更美好。
One of our key goals in this journey has been to tell the stories of our clients, to the investment community, to both investors, customers and employees.
在这段旅程中,我们的主要目标之一是向投资界、投资者、客户和员工讲述我们客户的故事。
The goal with doing this is to bring more investment capital, more interest and attention to those companies that are truly bringing great things to our planet.
这样做的目的,是为了将更多的投资、更多的兴趣和关注带给那些真正为我们的星球带来伟大事物的公司。
Those are the companies that are shaping the global economy, they're the ones that are integrating the technologies, the competitive strategy, the customer perspective in such a way that's bringing great things to economy.
这些公司正在塑造全球经济。他们在整合技术、竞争战略以及考虑客户视角方面取得了巨大成就。
So our goal is to smooth the investment flow and to make it faster, more efficient and to bring the right level of investment to the right opportunities at the right time.
因此,我们致力于使投资流动顺畅,更快速且高效,并准确地把握恰当时机所需的投资水平。
Our goal is to make this a much more simple and fluid process to bring that investment capital of the companies that deserve it most that we feel are going to shape the future economy.
我们的目标是通过简化流程,帮助最具价值、将塑造未来经济的企业获得投资支持。
One of the driving value propositions of our twenty-five-year journey in China has been telling the story of the companies that are shaping the global economy.
在我们25年的中国之旅中,一个重要的价值主张就是讲述那些正在塑造全球经济的公司的故事。
These are the companies that are integrating disruptive technologies. They’re compressing the customer value chain, They’re understanding and leveraging megatrends, and they're bringing new business models to the economy.
这些企业不断推进颠覆性技术应用,压缩客户价值链, 深刻理解并运用大趋势,并探索新商业模式以推动经济发展。
These are the companies that we want to work with the investors, the customers, and the employees around the world to focus their time and attention.
这些公司,是我们想要与投资者,客户,以及世界各地的员工合作,集中时间和注意力的所在。
These are the companies that deserve the capital because they're the ones bringing the greatest value to the global economy.
这些公司值得投资,因为它们为全球经济创造了巨大价值。
Now let me take a moment to talk about the future road ahead. There are three things that I would like us all to discuss this week.
现在,请允许我花点时间谈论未来道路上需要注意到的三个方面。
The first is the global economy is going into a massive transformation similar in magnitude to the industrial transformation.
首先, 全球经济即将迈入类似工业转型规模般庞大而深刻的转型阶段。
But instead of taking 100 and 50 years which the industrial transformation took, we're looking at probably ten to 15 years.
不同于过去100至50年间完成工业转型所需时间长度,如今只需要10至15年便将实现该转变。
The speed will be greatly accelerated that transformation.
速度将显著加快。
We must develop a keen understanding of what's made up in the transformation, looking at all of the strategic comparatives that are driving that transformation, whether it's geopolitical issues, disruptive technologies like AI and big data, or it could even be customer issues and megatrends.
因此,我们必须敏锐地了解转型的组成部分,并关注所有相关战略比较驱动因素——无论涉及地缘政治问题,还是人工智能与大数据等颠覆性技术,或者考虑到消费者诉求与宏观趋势等方面。
All of these need to be integrated into the growth pipeline system that we manage in the future to make sure our companies are the ones that are shaping the global economy and not victimized by this transformation.

The second element I'd like to talk to about is AI.
我想谈的第二个要素是人工智能。
AI is on the top of everybody's minds today, and from our perspective, AI is an integral part of every single growth opportunity we look at.
人工智能已然成为每个人心头最重要议题之一,且在我们看来,人工智能已渗透至我们观察到的每一个增长机会中。
The best way to stay ahead of AI is to realize it's ubiquitous and it's involved in everything going forward.
跑赢人工智能的最好方法是意识到它无处不在,且与未来的一切息息相关。
So every growth opportunity that's in your growth pipeline needs to have an AI component.
所以你的增长管道中的每一个增长机会都需要包括人工智能的组成部分。
And that AI component could be a digital platform. It could be the customer experience, It could be an analytical approach. But at some level AI is going to be integrated into that growth opportunity.
这个人工智能组件可以是一个数字化平台,消费者体验,或者一种分析方法。总之在某种程度上,人工智能将被整合到这个增长机会中。
This means we need to develop a whole new set of skills because AI is brand new to many of us.

But the faster we get on top of this, the faster we see how it's integrated at every growth opportunity and we develop the teamwork needed to make both the technology strategy around AI and the business strategy of every growth opportunity.

Well integrated is going to be a key driver of success going forward.

The third element of our future is all about speed and velocity.
我们未来的第三大要素是速度。
What I mean by that is in any given market, there's more than a hundred companies competing for the same market size.
我的意思是,在任何一个特定的市场中,都有一百多家公司在争夺相同的市场——
What this means is there's going to be a huge growth gap in terms of what's expected in terms of revenue and what's actually realized in terms of revenue.
这意味着,在预期收入和实际现实收入之间,存在着巨大的增长差距。
That's why we see in so many markets of the 300 competitors, only one or two are actually making money in that market over the long term.
这就是为什么我们看到,在有300家竞争对手的某个市场中,只有一两家能长期赚钱。

So one of the key driving points of the future together with Frost is our work on velocity.
因此,与弗若斯特沙利文一起推动未来的关键驱动力是我们对速度的研究。
So no longer is it good enough to say we're aware of the opportunity and we're working on it.

Now, we have to say we're aware of the market and we're working faster than our toughest competitor to be first in the marketplace.

We must have that mindset.

To be first in the marketplace means we have to integrate the strategic component with the technology component starting day one.

Traditionally, companies work first on the strategy, the analytics, the approval of the program, and then they start the technology platform.
按照传统,公司一般先制定战略、分析市场、批准计划,然后才启动技术平台。
Going forward, these two elements need to start at the same time leveraging best practices because the entire winning the gold medal only goes to the winner, and I'm not sure there's a bronze or a silver medal anymore.
展望未来,战略与技术要素需要同时利用最佳实践,因为整个夺金过程只属于唯一获胜者,我不确定还会有铜牌或银牌的位置。
So one of the key things we need to work on together is identifying the growth opportunities, being aware of them

And then most importantly is the speed of implementation, developing the strategy and technology at the same time, so we could be first to market or faster and better than the toughest competitor.
最重要的是实施的速度,同时开发战略和技术,这样我们就可以成为第一个市场,或者比最强大的竞争对手更快、更好。
So, the future ahead looks very exciting. It's very inspiring. There's a lot of risk.
未来振奋人心、催人奋进。但同时,也伴随着诸多风险。
