In August 2026, Frost & Sullivan published the 2026 White Paper on China's eVTOL Industry (the "White Paper").
The White Paper provides a comprehensive analysis of China's eVTOL industry, covering its current development, key inflection points, major use cases, market potential, business models and competitive landscape. Against the backdrop of the industry's transition from proving technical feasibility to demonstrating commercial viability, the White Paper examines the eVTOL ecosystem, the end-to-end commercialization process, the airworthiness certification framework, major technology pathways and core system capabilities. It also reviews national and local policies supporting the low-altitude economy, together with progress in infrastructure development and the commercial deployment of eVTOL applications.
The White Paper further assesses the development models and market potential of commercial passenger applications, including urban and regional mobility, transport hub connections, passenger transfers within tourist attractions and aerial sightseeing. Taking into account additional use cases such as logistics, emergency response and public services, it also provides estimates of the future size of China's eVTOL fleet.
