Frost & Sullivan Releases the " 2026 White Paper on the Development of the Multispectral AI Industry "
China’s multispectral AI industry is transitioning from commercial validation to large-scale deployment. Multispectral AI is a systematic capability that integrates cross-band sensing with intelligent decision-making. Built on multispectral optical and thermal sensing across ultraviolet, visible, near-infrared, and thermal infrared bands, it converts physical states—including temperature, radiation, electrical discharge, overheating, combustion, and structural anomalies—into quantifiable digital features through signal registration, spectral fusion, and AI model analysis. This supports condition assessment, risk early warning, and decision-making. As the core analytical layer of the physical AI perception stack, multispectral AI addresses the limitations of traditional machine vision—such as incomplete visibility, insufficient recognition accuracy, and slow response—enabling precise, all-weather, non-contact, and trend-based insights into the physical world.
In terms of application scenarios, the broader safety and security sector has become the primary area where multispectral AI has achieved early large-scale deployment. Typical applications include data centers, such as critical equipment temperature monitoring and comprehensive safety situational awareness; power systems, including inspections across transmission, substations, and distribution networks; the new energy vehicle industry chain, particularly micron-level defect detection in battery manufacturing; public safety and urban governance, such as forest fire prevention; as well as a range of vertical applications in industrial manufacturing, healthcare, and other sectors.
In 2025, the Chinese multispectral AI market was valued at approximately RMB 20 billion, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 31.8% from 2025 to 2030. In terms of the competitive landscape, the industry is gradually developing a diversified supply ecosystem encompassing underlying optical components, multispectral AI modules, intelligent terminals, and vertical-industry large model services. Haiqing Zhiyuan possesses end-to-end delivery capabilities spanning “modules + terminals + industry-specific large models.” Midstream system integrators and algorithm providers are progressively building closed-loop capabilities across “data–models–products–scenarios.” Competition is shifting from standalone hardware products toward comprehensive scenario understanding and continuous service capabilities.
