Reducers are core transmission components connecting power sources to actuators. Through gear meshing or rolling contact, they achieve speed reduction and torque amplification, while performing critical functions within the system including precision maintenance, rigid support and motion control stability. Based on differences in transmission structure and performance characteristics, reducers are classified into two broad categories: precision and general-purpose.
Precision reducers are defined by their high precision, high rigidity and high responsiveness, and primarily include precision planetary, precision cycloidal (RV), harmonic and precision worm gear types. Precision planetary reducers are high-precision transmission devices employing a planetary gear transmission structure, used in precision control systems to reduce rotational speed, increase torque and improve positioning accuracy.
