Looking at the audio and video solution market in 2020, the market has largely completed its territorial expansion. The top five audio and video solution providers—Tencent Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Baidu Smart Cloud, Kingsoft Cloud, and Huawei Cloud—account for 84.1% of the total market share. Among them, Tencent Cloud ranks first in the industry, followed by Alibaba Cloud in second place, Baidu Smart Cloud in third place, Kingsoft Cloud and Huawei Cloud in fourth and fifth place respectively.
In the first half of 2021, due to repeated outbreaks of the pandemic and the incomplete disappearance of sudden dividends, the landscape of audio and video solutions has not shown significant changes: Tencent Cloud and Alibaba Cloud still maintain a leading market position with a notable head-start effect; Kingsoft Cloud rose one place compared to 2020, ranking third; Baidu Smart Cloud and Huawei Cloud are respectively ranked fourth and fifth. However, looking ahead to future development, ByteDance has started to focus on the audio and video cloud services of Volcano Engine starting from the second half of the year. With the large-scale commercialization of Volcano Engine's audio and video solutions, the intensity of competition in the Chinese audio and video solutions market is expected to further increase, driving adjustments to the overall market landscape.
