Against the backdrop of the continuous deepening of the national 'dual carbon' strategy and the increasing focus on ESG investment concepts as a core concern in the capital market, Tibet, as an ecologically fragile region rich in resources and with distinctive ethnic cultural characteristics, has a significantly unique path for ESG practice among its listed companies. Tibet's ecological environment is sensitive and important; companies need to pay high attention to ecological protection and biodiversity maintenance in development and operations, while also undertaking special social responsibilities for promoting ethnic unity, regional development, and improving people's livelihoods. Therefore, exploring how Tibetan companies can build ESG systems in combination with regional characteristics is not only crucial for the high-quality development of the regional economy but also provides an important reference for the sustainable development of special regions across the country.

In terms of the environmental dimension (E), Tibetan companies emphasize ecological protection and clean energy development. For example, the downstream hydropower project on the Yarlung Zangbo River has significantly reduced environmental interference through an eco-friendly construction model and invested resources in biodiversity conservation. In terms of the social dimension (S), companies actively contribute to rural revitalization and cultural benefits for the people, such as Chinese media covering over 2 million people through the construction of public welfare bookstores and holding national reading activities, effectively promoting cultural popularization and social development. In terms of governance dimension (G), some companies have gradually established ESG governance frameworks, but overall they still face challenges in integrating traditional and modern management mechanisms. The report also draws on excellent cases such as Pathfinder and Hongcheng Environment to provide practical references for Tibetan companies.

Frost & Sullivan (Frost&sulivan, abbreviated as 'Frost & Sullivan') has released 'A Study on the ESG Development of A-share Listed Companies & Special Issue on the High-Quality Development of Tibet's Industries' (hereinafter referred to as the White Paper). This report aims to analyze the current development status, characteristics, driving factors, challenges faced by the ESG industry in Tibet under the background of 'carbon neutrality', as well as countermeasures. Based on public data from 2024, corporate ESG reports, policy documents, and other research, this report conducts a systematic study on A-share listed companies in the Tibet Autonomous Region.
