This report focuses on the current progress of AI talent development and industry-education collaboration in Chinese universities, systematically analyzing the evolution of artificial intelligence technology, national and local policies, international university practices, and the current state of AI education supply in higher education institutions. The report points out that the rapid development of generative artificial intelligence, large models, and intelligent agents is profoundly transforming teaching, research, talent cultivation, and evaluation models in universities. Meanwhile, corporate demand for talent is shifting from merely "understanding AI" to "applying AI to solve professional problems." Currently, China has initially formed a policy framework covering general AI education, specialized education, and "AI+X" interdisciplinary training. University AI curricula, faculty training, technical platforms, practical projects, competency evaluation, and organizational governance are gradually improving. However, challenges remain, including a curriculum structure overly focused on technical fundamentals with insufficient generative AI content, uneven faculty application capabilities, significant disparities in resources across regions and institutions, and a need to enhance the depth of industry-education collaboration and the efficiency of outcome transformation. The report recommends that universities further refine a tiered and categorized talent cultivation system, strengthen interdisciplinary courses and real-world industry projects, improve evaluation mechanisms for teachers' AI literacy and students' comprehensive capabilities, and promote the deep integration of the education, talent, industry, and innovation chains through joint university-enterprise laboratories, industry colleges, and collaborative innovation platforms. The ultimate goal is to cultivate composite talents equipped with professional knowledge, AI application capabilities, critical thinking, and ethical responsibility.
