On the other hand, enterprise digitization requires comprehensive participation from all levels within and outside the company. How to enable non-IT technicians to participate more effectively in system construction and application development has become one of the keys to accelerating digital transformation. Low-code platforms can empower manufacturing enterprises to quickly build, deploy, and manage applications, greatly simplifying the software development process. At the same time, they also enable non-IT technicians to participate more effectively in application development, allowing enterprises to accelerate their digital transformation pace and respond more flexibly to market demands. In the era of transformation challenges faced by manufacturing, especially with the full-scale outbreak of AI, how low-code can accelerate the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises has become a hot topic of industry discussion.

 

 On November 28, 2023, the 40th 'Workforce Empowerment' Founder 2+1 Dialogue Night, hosted by the Shanghai Industrial Internet Association, was successfully held. The event invited Huang Meng, General Manager of the Industrial Internet Business Unit and Chief Scientist of Industrial Internet at Ecosens Technology Group Co., Ltd., Zhu Chen, Co-founder and CMO of ZeroCloud, and Frost & Sullivan (Frost &Xu Biao, Executive Director of Frost & Sullivan Greater China and referred to below as 'Frost & Sullivan', was invited to attend the event and serve as a guest host. Together with the dialogue guests, he discussed 'which scenarios in manufacturing enterprises can be quickly deployed using low-code'.

Centering on the theme, the host and two dialogue guests discussed together: through practical cases, they talked about in which scenarios low-code can empower high-end manufacturing enterprises, how small and medium-sized enterprises should choose low-code service providers, how industrial workers in manufacturing enterprises can make good use of low-code tools, and howAI-assisted solutions address four specific challenges that a single low-code service cannot overcome. The two conversation guests shared their insights on empowering manufacturing development through low-code, drawing on their respective unique founding experiences.

 

Huang Meng, General Manager of the Industrial Internet Business Unit of Electrical Digital Science and Chief Scientist of Industrial Internet, believes that as a typical large enterprise, Shanghai Electric has some significant differences compared to small and medium-sized enterprises.

 

Firstly, in terms of internal operations, large enterprises place more emphasis on data security and stability. In contrast, the requirements of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises may not be as high, but they pay more attention to privacy, usually worrying aboutThe issue of CRM information or supplier-related information being leaked on the platform.

 

Secondly, large enterprises possess many secondary developers and a large number of their own systems. Therefore, any new tool or system must have good secondary development interfaces and adaptability to existing systems to support more flexible deployment. For small and medium-sized enterprises themselvesIT developers are relatively weak in strength and have limited secondary development capabilities, requiring low-code products that can be used directly.

 

There are also differences in after-sales service and operation and maintenance. Large enterprises usually require comprehensive and complete support and services, while small and medium-sized enterprises pay more attention to cost-effectiveness, hoping that the system can be used stably for a long time.

 

The last difference lies in user experience. Large enterprises have professional engineers who can accept systems that are slightly difficult to use and less user-friendly. In contrast, small and medium-sized enterprises prefer better application performance and a more convenient user experience.

 

Co-founder of ZeroSaiYunCMO Zhu Chen stated that in the industrial field, the development of AI requires time because a large amount of data is needed for training. Due to the confidentiality of enterprise data, customers are less willing to use public large-scale model databases unless these models can be deployed independently and privatized.

 

Low-code andThe use of AI technology is essentially aimed at improving efficiency. Software development involves many steps, including requirement research, prototype design, architecture design, development, functional testing, data testing, and deployment, which is a very lengthy cycle. Low-code solutions have shortened the time required for software development.

 

In the future,AI has great potential in demand research. In the traditional project delivery process, nearly 70% of the delivery documents are useless content, which can be written by AI, saving a significant amount of time.
